Joining the smart home revolution
All over the world, more and more homeowners are beginning to turn their homes into smart homes, by using technology to control their lighting, heating, home security, or entertainment systems.
But if you’ve never had smart home devices installed before, what exactly is a smart home?

While there are questions of privacy with regards to smart devices that may be recording everything you say, or just instances of devices being ‘creepy’ and laughing at you , many users find that it helps them not only save time but money as well.
If you are building a home for yourself, but think you might want to sell it on in the future, then it’s worth thinking about whether or not you want to integrate smart home features into the home. In the US, up to 81% of home buyers say that they’d be more likely to buy a home if it had smart home systems already installed.
With the rise in popularity of smart home systems, even if you are against the trend, you may find it hard in the future to find a home that doesn’t have one. The UK is not yet in one of the top countries for smart home integration, but the numbers can only increase in the future.
Millenials, unsurprisingly, are the largest demographic using smart home products, so as more of them begin to own homes in the future, the percentage of homes that are smart homes will also increase.
